Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse (movie review)

Your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is back with another film with Spider-man: into the Spider-verse; Sony’s new take on the Spiderman films. This animated movie main spotlight is Miles Morales, a teenager from Brooklyn who’s struggling to fit in a new school and making friends. After being bit by a spider, Miles comes across the villain Fisk. Where he builds a particle accelerator to access parallel universes and brings spider-man from different universes into his world. Now Miles and his gang need to stop Fisk from breaking reality.

One of the key elements of this film is the beautiful animation. Mixing CGI and 2D animation doesn’t always work out, But when it does, is a sight worth seeing. This movie certainly brings it all out and gives us a spectacle of variations of colors and designs. Giving us a comic book brought to life by animation. One of the things I found interesting and original is how each character had a different vibe to it. Depending on where they were from, the animation was different and it didn’t give us a sense of detachment but rather it blended out on the film.

Being a movie with more than 5 characters could be hard to manage; trying to give all the characters a spot in the film. Sometimes the character isn’t even well developed but in this movie, they introduced the characters in a funny and creative way. They also didn’t lose focus on the main character of the movie, Miles Morales. There’s a lot going on the film and many things happen to each of the characters but in the end, it always focuses on Mile’s story. The film brings justice to this character, giving us the film that he deserves.934714 Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse brings a new and refreshing story for the Spider-man cinematic universe. It’s a film full of humor accompanied by a story-driven narrative. Plus, a soundtrack that you can jam to in your car. By the looks of the animation, you could tell how much passion and dedication the animators had for this film and it’s something we should applaud them on. This is an innovative and fun movie that comic book lovers and fans will truly love and appreciate.

I give this movie 4/5 spiderwebs.
